A blown-out Internet Explorer icon gets rebuilt by hand, stretched into a chunky pixel grid and cut from MDF like a low-res relic. The colors hum between dead screen glow and something nearly tropical, a browser window left open too long in the sun. Nostalgic but off-kilter, a once universally recognized icon slowed down and made physical, stripped of its function and left as an artifact. It is an aggressively stubborn painting of an obsolete symbol dissected with care, giving weight to a piece of software that used to be invisible. It turns a default into an object, a corporate ghost locked into a body that won’t update.
